Who we are

City discipline, systematically applied.

Uvistium was founded in 2019 to close a specific gap: institutional algorithmic wealth management that remains economically and qualitatively viable for accounts starting from £200.

The founding observation

In 2018, our founders — a former Head of Systematic Trading at Barclays Wealth, a former quantitative analyst at Schroders, and a former Head of Compliance at Hargreaves Lansdown — compared the returns institutional clients received against the returns their firms delivered to retail. The gap was structural: institutions received algorithmic portfolio management with full attribution; retail received model portfolios without transparency.

The founding question was straightforward: what if that institutional quality were available for accounts from £200 — without dilution, without cost, without compromise?

Six principles

  1. Transparency before convenience. We owe every client an explanation of how return arose — not merely how much.
  2. Structure before charisma. Systems that operate identically across every account size are more robust than personalised exceptions.
  3. Precision before speed. We do not trade more often to appear busy. We trade when a signal is statistically warranted.
  4. Capital preservation before return maximisation. A 30% loss year requires a 43% gain year to recover. Our systems respect that asymmetry.
  5. Editorial independence before growth. Model decommissionings are not withheld because they inconvenience marketing.
  6. Process before individual brilliance. We do not cultivate star managers. Every decision is documented, auditable, and reproducible.
